Tascam DR-40 firmware update guide - DSLR FILM NOOB

But recently Tascam was kind enough to update the firmware, adding this feature to the list. You can download the updated firmware 1.10 here: tascam.com With this feature enabled the Tascam DR-40 is now much closer to being a low price competitor to the Zoom h4n. Sure it doesn't have all the features of the h4n, but if you just need a solid field recorder with xlr inputs and volume control the Tascam DR-40 should work fine. D5100 Video Mode - No Shutter Speed or ISO Control

Nikon users will still have to use the AE-L/AF-L button to control exposure in movie mode according to page 107 of the Nikon D5100 Reference Manual. Nikon does not allow control of the shutter speed or ISO in movie mode. With the release of the D7000 you would think that all future Nikon DSLR cameras would have manual video controls. I'm hoping they will have manual controls along with 60 fps in there upcoming models such as the D400, D800, and the D4. Don't take my word for it. Please go to Nikon's website and download the user manual for the D5100. At the bottom of page 108 it clearly states that Shutter Speed and ISO are not available during video recording. The Fujifilm Finepix HS20 EXR is the successor to last year's Finepix HS10—a camera that left us with conflicted emotions. Adding headphone monitoring to your Canon DSLR with the Sescom Monitoring cable - DSLR FILM NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com Note: This cable does not yet work with the t3i. One of the features that makes the Canon 5d Mark III look so attractive is the new audio monitoring port. Canon should have included this port long ago, but I guess there is no point in complaining now. I've covered other methods that allow you to add headphone monitoring to your camera (See link: youtu.be ), but the Sescom USB to 3.5mm female cable is probably the most elegant. A single cable with no adapters turns out to be a pretty handy method for monitoring audio. This adapter does require Magic lantern to work properly. Also note that the audio output of the Canon t2i maxes out at 6db, which is enough to drive a normal par of headphones but the output level isn't extremely loud. If you need more volume or don't want to adjust headphone levels using the menu, I still recommend adding a headphone amplifier like the Fiio E5 to the mix. I got the chance to play around with the Hot Rod Cameras PL Mount Canon 7D at Birns and Sawyer, Hollywood. I ended up using Really Right Stuff Base Plates to prevent the camera from shifting with the Big Ass 25-250mm HR lens and Arri FF4 Follow Focus. I used a 7" Marshall HDMI monitor and it all worked just like a 35mm Motion Picture setup.

Making of Canon L Series 500mm F4L IS USM. Part 1 of 3 in the production of expensive camera gear. L series is Canon's Premium lens line featuring fluorite lenses. IS refers to Image Stabilzation build into the lens, and USM refers to Ultrasonic Motor drive that makes focusing faster than older systems. ***** [REVIEW BELOW] ***** Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO Lens for Nikon. I got this lens on the 30th of May 2009. In the box: Lens, Lens Hood, Pouch and Manual. Note that the filter was given free-of-charge in the store, so it's already been attached when I unboxed it. Specifications: 550g, magnification of 1:2, HyperSonicMotor, price: US$280 Handling Info: For Normal Use, the Manual Focus barrel does not turn that much. Macro can be used at 200mm-300mm only. The focus barrel fully extends in Macro mode. My REVIEW This lens is great for beginners and those who have a budget capon their lenses. Since the barrel moves physically outwards, you can tell that this is not a really professional and great lens. The pro lens are like 70-200, 24-75 Nikkor Lenses. They have an internal zooming and focusing element while this one doesn't. Also, the minimum aperture of this lens is F4, which is 2 stops above a recommendable fast F2.8 throughout. However, the advantage of this lens against those F2.8lenses is that this lens is light and therefore more mobile. It is also much cheaper than those pro lens which costs at least $1500. The only reason to buy this lens is that you are a kid, which is me, who depends on your parent's money to buy things, hence you do not dare waste too much money in case something goes wrong. This is a right point, because whe you grow up you can use your own money to buy the better 70-200mm lens. That means, if you are adult reading this, you should have ...

The project was "Teach the class something your good at in photography or film" and people did some useless videos like "How to take a picture with a digital camera" or "How to make a movie in movie maker". Digital SLR sensors's Explained

www.FroKnowsPhoto.com There are a few different sensor sizes out there today. You have Full Frame and Cropped Sensors and now Four Thirds which I did not speak about in this video. On the Nikon end you have FX and DX. FX is a full frame sensor based on a 35mm size and DX is a cropped sensor based on a 24mm or APS size. There are advantages and perceived disadvantages to both. With Full Frame you get much better Hi-ISO capability but it is much more expensive. DX is a small sensor but makes your longer lenses act like they have more power. You multiply any lens you put on the camera by 1.5X to determine its 35mm equivalent. The downside is you need to purchase special ultra wide lenses to capture really wide angle images on DX. Another disadvantage to DX is you will not want to use those lenses on a Full Frame camera. So it becomes a dilemma on weather not to purchase a lot of DX lenses or not. On the Canon side you have three sensor sizes. Full Frame, 1.3x magnification in their sports cameras and APS-C which is 1.6x magnification. On the canon side. Any lens that you place on the APS-C sensor you will multiply by 1.6x to get the 35mm equivalent. As in the Nikon the larger the sensor the better the Hi-ISO capability the camera will be. Unlike Nikon Canon utilizes a 1.3x cropped sensor int heir high end sports camera. Sports photographers like having their longer glass have more reach.
