Canon 35mm f1.4 vs Sigma 30mm f1.4 head to head - DSLR FILM NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com I often recommend the Sigma 30mm f1.4 as a good crop sensor camera lens for people on a budget. But how does it stack up against the Canon 35mm f1.4 lens. At around $1300 to $1400 new, the Canon 35mm f1.4 lens is a big investment, so much so, that I often recommend saving that money and buying 3 mid range primes instead. The Sigma 30mm f1.4 on the other hand runs about a 3rd the price at around $400. So is the price difference worth it? I think that depends on your mind set. The Canon 35mm f1.4 looked better (to me) in many of the shots as far as over all sharpness is concerned and the sigma 30mm f1.4 did have some slight vignetting in a few of the shots. But I guess the question remains, is the Canon 35mm f1.4 $900 better then the sigma 30mm f1.4? I think you will probably have to vote with your dollar. Take a look at the footage and decide which lens works best for your budget.
