Tamron 28 75 f/2.8 lens review (HD viewing)
I can't say enough about this little lens from Tamron. Stop using lenes which sift the aperture over the zoom length. Pros will always use lenes with an apeture of f/2.8 or faster.

Photography Tutorial Nikon D3100 D7000
froknowsphoto.com I wanted to show you how easy it is to do a full photo shoot with multiple angles and one lens in 10 minutes. As you can see I am shooting with the Nikon D3000 and 35 F/1.8. I was able to capture 4 or 5 different angles from full length to head shots to detailed shots. I guessed my settings based off of pre visualizing my environment. I knew there was not a lot of light inside which told me I should shoot at a higher ISO like 800. I know in the D3000 that if I go higher than 800 ISO i may be compromising the quality of the image. I chose 60th of a second at 1.8 as a starting point than tweaked from there. You have to be very careful when shooting wide open at 1.8 that you do not miss your focus. As you can see in the picture with the pencil you have such a narrow focus that if you move forward or back or your subject moves you may miss your focus all together. Start to get into the habit of pre visualizing your situation so when you walk into it you have a basis for your initial settings. Over time you will start to be able to read the light before you take the camera out of the bag. Be sure to watch the entire video as you will see the photo shoot first followed by a screen flow where I discuss composition of each image as well as how I edited the RAW file.

How to do Flash Studio Photography with Water Splash Strobes Speedlite
Here is a little video on how I did the flash photography with Canon Speedlites while dropping items into a tank of water. With a white background, I used a Canon Speedlite 580ex II on the left and right of the fish tank with water. They were set to manual 1/128sec. I had a Canon Speedlite 430ex ii on a chair behind the fish tank pointing towards the white background so it would come out pure white. This was set to manual 1/64th of a second (I would of done 1/128 but the 430ex ii can only go down to 1/64). You want to go 1/128 so it freezes the splash mid air. I also used another Canon Speedlite 430ex II in front of the tank at a 45 degree angle to fill the shadows on the front of the object your dropping. This one isn't totally necessary cause you can angle the side flashes a little to help hit the front of the object, but I had the flash available and I liked the results better when using it. I only had to squeegee the tank splashes once every 10 or so drops when using white cause its really easy to remove the spots in Lightroom with the exposure brush. But on the black background, it was a totally different story. I had to squeegee every single time or the spots on the side of the tank would appear as bright as day in your photo, making it much harder to remove them in post. I bought a squeegee from WalMart for $1.50, and cut the handle off (since otherwise the handle would hit the end of the tank before I was done wiping it off). Samson Airline Micro wireless UHF system Review - DSLR FILM NOOB
www.dslrfilmnoob.com I've come to the point where I need a few extra UHF wireless microphones systems around. The Sennheiser G2 wireless system I use right now works great and most of the time the two sets I use are plenty, but lately I've run into situations where it would be nice to have one or 2 extra for a second camera. So I started looking around on ebay for a set of used G2 Ew100′s in a different frequency. It seems that they've become so popular that the used price is almost the same as the new price. I was about to give up and order a new set from B&H when I came across the Samson Airline Micro wireless system. I vaguely remember hearing something about them last year, but I never actually followed up to see if they'd been released. I found a refurbished set on Amazon for $245 and thought I'd give them a try. Over All at a price of $250 to $300 I think the Samson Airline Micro Is a very good value. Even though the audio wasn't as clean and clear as the Sennheiser EW100 G2 unit I normally use, I don't feel like the difference was big enough for most people to really notice. I think most will forgive the slight difference in audio quality for a $200 savings over the Sennheiser G2. Pros: The compact size, protective case, UHF band, and price. Cons: No way to change out the battery, difficult to program, and the audio is a little muddy. Conclusion: If you listen to the audio tests and can't tell the difference then the Samson Airline Micro should make you very happy ...
