Digiscoping. How to take Sharp Photos: Focus, Aperture, Timer, Tripod & Quality Optics

Five things to consider when wanting to get sharp digiscoping photos: 1. Get good focus - use the optical viewfinder of a DSLR or macro autofocus of a compact camera. 2. Understand your camera settings - use ISO and Aperture setting to get photos with low noise (low ISO) and with a wide open aperture (smallest f number in Aperture Priority mode) to get the fastest shutter speed possible for those conditions. 3. Use a remote release of countdown timer - anything that lets you reduce the shake of the camera will improve the sharpness of the images taken with the digiscoping setup 4. Use a stable platform - carbonfibre tripods are light and dampen vibrations effectively. If you are using a tripod, make sure you use a telescope balance rail as adding the weight to the back of the telescope tends to pull the whole setup out of balance and introduce/accentuate camera shake. Even better than a tripod is a Bean Bag. These are very easy to make and - filled with beans, rice or corn - make excellent vibration-dampening camera/telescope supports. 5. Use good quality optics - photographers have been saying this for decades: buy good quality lenses first, and then think about upgrading your camera body. Applied to digiscoping, the quality of the image coming through your scope will largely determine the quality of the image you are able to get out of your digiscoping setup. In this video: Swarovski Optik STM80 HD spotting scope, 25-50x wide eyepiece, UCA digiscoping adapter, Canon ...

How to make better photos with areas of the camera model DSLR

This is a manual that goes with any camera. Your first task should be to read the thing. There is more information that you need to load (which is why most people do not read it ... get the hyper-active person to be ready for a nap).

The first thing to note, are the basic settings - thematic areas.

DSLR

Full Auto - this is not just a way of setting the base. However, it is the default. The photographer,Chamber, its artificial intelligence to make all the settings to produce the final image. It 's okay if you are in a hurry, but it takes all the fun and creative experience in photography. Landscape mode - provides vivid, contrasting colors. It 'best to use a wide angle and use a tripod. Flash is turned off (the flash would be useless in a real landscape shot because of the gravitational field is in general too far away to be effective for the flash). Portrait mode - the camera background was in a very wide opening due to blurred vision. Try to focus the subject's eyes, because it is a very limited depth of field in portrait mode. Even with a semi-telephoto lens, say 50-200 mm blurred somewhere on the bottom right corner. Skin tones are rendered smooth and flattering. "Sport" mode - the camera switches to A-1 Servo, or continuous fire, in sport mode. When you move theCamera to follow the subject, the camera focuses on the theme chosen to stay. Macro (or close-up) mode - use the macro mode to get away from very short focal length. It's good to take pictures of butterflies, flowers solitary interest and other small items. The camera is usually too close on the subject. Night portrait mode - useful for portraits in low light a lot. Tripod is recommended because of the slow shutter speedsneed to let enough light. Fill-turn in order to create a light natural look, as if the subject is illuminated by night-light environment. Flash Mode - ideal for more photos in natural light. or the use of flash is prohibited. The displays are certainly a must when you are out of night photos with flash.

Switching between modes can make spectacular photos. Just remember that if you keep in a switch mode space to enable thecamera to have the last word, which will look like in your image. They produced most of the control over the results, press the shutter button.
